I have no doubt that Marcos Kwiek is the most successful DT we have had in the entire history of volleyball in the Dominican Republic.

This is not so because I say so, but because history cannot be erased, and the records attest to it.

Marcos deserves all the credit that I have always given him, because meanness is not a feeling that is part of me. But at the same time, he is jointly responsible for the things that have affected the Project, during the time he has been in charge of it.

There are many things that have not been handled well in the Project, and although Cristobal Marte always assumes responsibility for what is bad, that is something he can do for the Marketing of the media, but those of us who live our volleyball know that the responsibility goes beyond just him.

As an example I give you the lack of young talent development, which I consider a shared responsibility.

The technical deficiencies of many of our players is a pure and simple responsibility of the technicians in charge of their preparation.

And I prefer not to continue listing things that we all already know, and that I am not interested in going back to, considering them redundant.

What I do want to express publicly and responsibly, like everything I do, is that the current problem that we cannot escape is that, no matter how much you want to minimize it, being in charge of the same team for 15 years is something that benefits no one.

It does not benefit the players. It does not benefit the leader and it does not benefit the Project.

The Women's National Team Project needs the infusion of new blood. New ideas, and new ways of doing things.

We cannot continue doing the same, and expect better results. And that's something I never tire of saying.

No World Top teams maintain the same coaching staff for so many years.

And they don't do it because it's not healthy, and if we don't understand that in the country, we're going to continue going through the same frustrations.

We failed in the Olympics in Brazil.

Failed in the Japan Olympics. And like it or not, we did it again in this World Cup.
And recognizing that it's not our players' fault, then someone has to take responsibility for these failures, and no one is going to buy into the story that it's Cristobal Marte.

It is now time to decide where we are going with our women's volleyball, and I understand that the moment is complicated in view of the Olympic Games, but at the rate we are going, no one can assure us that we will reach them, if we do not take the measures necessary to correct gait.
